Fate

Fate is something that is already planned out for you and if you cross your fates decision you are crossing god and is you cross god ”  thank you Arthur for the idea on god and fate”.  Is you cross god then you are crossing your religion and family and if you’re not believing in god then you are not following gods plan for your life and if you don’t follow his decisions then you are wasting your life.

we also know that the tragedy in the story is when Romeos takes his life which god has given him and he is yet again going against god. Fate is something that tells you what to do its like that gut feeling that people tell you to go with and you just go with it and it usually pays off.

TRANSLATION

ROMEO:

I fear, too early: for my mind misgives.     I’m being told not to go to early.

Some consequence yet hanging in the stars.     There will be a consequence that will stay with you for ever

Shall bitterly begin his fearful date.       At it will start at this very day.

With this night’s revels and expire the term. even though the night will be jolly it will end dreadfully.

Of a despised life closed in my breast.      I have always hated my life.

By some vile forfeit of untimely death.      And a death that will come at a difficult time.

But He, that hath the steerage of my course,      God chooses my decisions for me.

Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen.        And i will let him. Come on now friends.

hal .c    Thank you Arthur and Peter for your great blog retries inspiring me in mine.

One Response to “Fate”

  • Christopher Waugh Says:

It’s brilliant that you acknowledged Arthur and Peter’s influence. I added the links to their journals to your comment.

The brilliant thing here, Hal, is that you integrated the ideas of the other boys and still came up with your own words and your own interpretations.

Even today, while only some people believe in God, many people still have a feeling there is some force guiding our actions and the future. This is the idea that Shakespeare deals with – he would have said it was God, but in reality it could be any kind of power or force.

It’s great to see you exploring this idea in the text, and finding your own explanation for it. This thinking will assist you greatly in the assessment at the end of this project.
